Because they claim that OBX headers are crap...once I'm making over 500rwhp with them maybe people will think differently...so far so good for me...I just need to figure out which exhaust I want to mate up to the headers because the flowmasters aren't cutting it right now...

Before you buy anything, put the stock mufflers back on and see if you like the sound. I switched to the Pypes O/R H pipe and Flowmasters and it sounded like ***. Didnt know where I wanted to go next but until then I couldnt stand driving it like that so I put the stockers back on and it was perfect! With that combo I get tons of thumbs up. Try it and see if you like it. Only thing you have to lose is about an hours worth of work ...

Alot of people won't buy the OBX's because they're not American made. I installed a set on mine last Dec. Excellent quality on the headers;304 SS throughout,flanges are .4" thick.Great bargin IMO. There is some fitment issues, steering shaft is close, but thats not uncommom with any brand.

I first ran mine with the Pypes MM setup, but was way too loud for everyday driving,reminded me of riding a Harley. Put back on the factory over-axle pipes & FRPP GTA'sI had before the MM system.I'm quite happy with it now. Still loud enough for me.

Well I am kinda stuck because I don't have the factory exhaust because it wasn't on the car...those GTAs sound really good I will have to look into them...a friend has the stingers and he said he wouldn't mind swapping with me to see how those sounded...I had considered the pypes setup, but after you trying them and not liking them I definitely won't go that route...but your post on another forum is the very reason I went with the OBX long tubes...foriegn made or not I'm not an idiot our economy has gotten very global now and american made really doesn't mean as much as it used to so if I can save $800 or so on headers I'm going to do it sorry...

ive had OBX headers on since august last year and for the price i love them. i also have the pypes mid muffler system and if u use the resonated h-pipe if really sounds good. if u like loud but a clean solid sound try this route. i have 650$ into my whole stainless exhaust system

Plus you can weld some shields around those resonators and they will look just like cats, lol...
