+1 on them being illegal. Any blue or evenred lights in the front is illegal. I guess the law don't want you to be mistaken for a cop in someone's rearview mirror.

That's the general opinion across the boards.
They are pretty light, so I don't think they will look too blue when on.
Also, if not on, no ticket, is what I'm hearing.
I'll call chp and get the real answer.
Maybe I'll just have to use them for show, but damn they look good.

They look different. I would think they would look better with the center fog grill. I drive with my blackouts on all the time. I cant see **** so I turn my fogs on but ive never had a problem with cops or anything.

According to Lamin-x, none of their films produce a blue or red light when lit.
This would seem to take care of the legal issue, as well as the functionality.
But I'm still going to check with CHP tomorrow.

I like the look but the first cop that sees them on is going to ticket you...

Martin
Then that cop had better ticket you for those blue HIDs, even if it is supposed to be pure white, to me any headlights over 3000 Kelvin should be outlawed cause that crap is just annoying[:'(]

Then you better toss your halogen headlight bulbs, theyare in the 3600K range. Those "blue" HID's happen to be the factory 4100K HID units. I would expect a ticket for those rice lookin'aftermarket blue or purpleHID bulbs, i.e., 6000K +.

The reason my headlightslook so blue compared to the fogs is that I have 2500K yellow bulbs in the fog lights. And yes, yellow is legal, and functional in fog lights.
