Is there a big difference between the FRPP Stinger and Borla Stinger? There's a fairly large price difference between the two...

That is the SVT Stinger part number......no difference between them but the badging

There is an M-5230-5GT and M-5230-SGT with an almost $300 price difference. The SGT has a better sound than the 5GT?

I have the GT500 magnaflow magnapacks and absolutely love them. They are 3" catbacks and the quality is amazing...

the 5GT is the model that the GTs have used for the past 3 years. I dont know if you can just use these of not, i would assume so. the SGT is the SVT version supposedly for the GT500.....again not sure if there is actually any difference in them....but between the borla and the FRPP they are the same

if its not too late, I'll put my recommendation in for Pypes Mid-Mufflers... about the same as the Stingers but a little louder and with NO DRONE !!!
The drone from the Stingers will drive you crazy.

Borla stingers have 4" tips. FRPP stingers have 3.5" tips.

I have a Magnaflow 3" CAT back which go to Magnapacks and dump out to a 3.5" tip, I love it. This exhaust set up is for a GT500. The exhaust at idle sound aggressive, but when you get on the gas, the car sounds incredibly mean, kind of like get the %^$# out of my way here I come kind of mean. I purchase it on eBay for $500 with free delivery, brand spanking new in the Magnaflow packing, never opened. I wouldn't bother with x-pipes and cat elimination pipes, you'll never see the difference vs. the price of the mod. I would say if you're interested in headers, go for it, I think they are worth the investment. Thunbs way up with the Magnaflow.
