Well, I don't have mine mounted yet, but I've seen several people that were lowered running that same setup with no rubbing issues. Since they take up more of the wheel well, they actually help you look more lowered than you are, but gives you a bit more clearance under the car.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood then. The 295/45/18 is almost 2" taller than stock, I wouldn't put them on until you get a tuner, it could mess with TCS/ABS. Also, it will affect your final gear ratio. Itwill make the car feel like it has 3.55's or maybe even 3.31's.
I can't say if they will or won't rub, I'd bet if you lower at all chances are good they might rub.

Well here's a pic of my Eibach Pro-Kit with my M&H Racemasters. They're 28" diameter. The Nitto 295/45/18 are 28.31", so very close to the same. Rubbing will not be an issue. Again, I know several people that are lowered running that tire size. The stock tire size is 27.1, so actually it's just over an inch taller than stock.
As mentioned earlier, you'll want to update the ECM with a flash tuner to adjust for the tire size, but you should do that anyway to get a lot better performance out of your car.
And here's someone I know running that tire size that is also lowered. It fits very nicely.

Easy choice if it was up to me, 285/40's in the rear, and you get to keep the 275/40's in the front.
I would rather have a tad larger tire in the rear vs a tad smaller tire in the rear.
295/35 in the rear, no way.
No go shopping! lots of choices in that size.

A good way to calculate these is simply taking the width. Example 235. Divide that by 25.4. This method will convert the mm into inches. So the result would be 9.25. This means the tire is 9.25 inches wide. Now times that by 55. (235/55/17 we're going with.) This will tell you the sidewall height. 5.09 inches. (Important that you try to make your sidewalls the same on front and back, that way it doesn't look funny. Rear can always get away with being a little larger, but in a lot of these low-profile but wide tires they have really thin sidewalls.) So times your sidewall height by 2, and add 17 for wheel size. 27.18.

I haven't had a chance to run them yet, either. Will get to in April. M&H runs very small though. I'm actually running 325/45/17 on a 17x9. Hope those 275's fit on a 17x10.

Any brand ideas that hook well, and where to get them? I wanted BFG's but to get 285/40 and 275/40, you have to go with two different tread designs (new and traditional).

Check out my setup. 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear I went with the nitto 555's, they work great. I dont have springs on yet so it will look even better once that is done.
