just added autozone hood pins to the hood
had purchased the shelby pins for 105 bucks then went in to autozone and saw the ones some of you on here have put on your cars and couldn't turn down paying less than 15 bucks total for the pins and lanyards. don't have a camera at the moment and snapped a couple of quick pics from my camera phone. i'll post some better pics when i get my camera back. looking to sell my stock 17" premium wheels and tires soon for some more mod money before the bmc cruise next sat. posted them on the parts section. thinking of either going with the cdc black billet grill with pony emblem or clear corners as my next mod.

RE: just added autozone hood pins to the hood
I just got my Shelby hood pins in the mail. Havent installed them yet. I considered the cheap ones from vatozone but that is the route i went with my 90 gt. I bought cheap hood pins and they rusted. I will not make the same mistake twice. That is the only part of my 90 that looks like @ss. Makes me ad just thinking about it. You get what you pay for i guess.

guess so, but i figure when the rust i'll just go back and buy another set since they only cost me 8 bucks.
i could do this about 12 times and i will be where i would have been if i had bought the shelby ones... just figured i'd use the money i saved on another mod. going to look at the gt500 chin and read about the install.
mynameismike65, yeah they are black bullits. 18 X 9 up front and deep dish 18 X 10 on the rear. paid 500 bucks for the set new.
here is a pic before i traded my hood for the cervini ram air hood.

yeah boozshey i used your write up. had a little bit of a problem making the pin stick out far enough for the pins to fit. still think i need to work on it a little bit before the bottom nut falls out. couldn't get it to fit on the first try even after messing with the bumpstops. only thing i did different from yours is I used mustard on the pin to mark the hood we were having a barbeque and that was the closest thing to me other than my beer.
made up my mind and since i saved 90 bucks on the pins, i figure i'd save a lot more money and have made up my mind with the gt500 chin instead of almost 300 bucks for the cdc chin. might go order one at the dealership tomorrow afternoon and use some more money on clear corners and caliper paint.
