Hey I don't want to sound like a MORON, but this is my first sports car I have ever owned and was wondering what a CAI/Tune is? I am assuming it is a new computer??? Please let me know. Thanks

cai = cold air intake.

tune = is reflashing your stock pcm so that it deletes throttle lag, increases air flow, efficiency, and performance. few have claimed that fuel economy is raised.

all i know is. for 500-630 bucks, it's the BEST bang for your buck. i should be getting mine soon. they also say it makes THE standard for the first mod for our cars.

I'm very pleased with the JLT2 and SCT XCal3 tune. Makes a world of difference. They say it is the biggest bang for the buck...just stay away from K&N...that what they say anyway.

the best deal that i could find on a newcai and tuner combo was 600.0-650.00, the ad said it would increase 30hp. after reading many articles i found out that you can only expect about half of that. so im going to wait and save up some money buy the saleen s/c for 5000.00 or so which well bump me up to about 470hp which is a lot better than 320hp for the money. if you do plan on getting a s/c i would suggest waiting because most of the after market cai wont fit, but i do believe it well fit on the saleen s/c.

I've heard that you can fit the Steeda CAI along with the Saleen S/C.

CAI & Tune is a must and should be the first thing you do.
I waited until after I got new mufflers and lowered the car.
The CAI & 93 Torque tune from bamachips is awesome.
I still see throttle lag even though others say it is gone for them but they thing pulls awesome and the tone coming from my Corsas is even better then before.
The tone has gotten deeper and more aggressive, it's great!!!
