Default Roush Louver Screws

So I know many people have the Roush 1/4 window louvers, and if you don't have a black car the little screws can look out of place.

So I decided to try and paint them (I am the most incapable painter of all time..lol)

As it turns out, I did not screw this one up at all (I guess the screw heads were to small to mess up painting..lol)

I just wetsanded the screw heads and then put on some dent removal paint from a bottle I found at Walmart (it was the last one of Windveil Blue on the rack.. I figured it was a sign..)

Sorry I dont have any DIY pics, but its easy enough to do. I will try to post pics of them on the car soon.

FM

Good idea. I'm lucky..mines black (if it was any other color, I'd do what you did).

Thought about doing this, but when you go to screw them on, will the allen wrench not just screw up the paint?

The screws don't actually bother me. I thought about trying to get some stainless ones though.

One would think..

But when I painted them, I brushed over the whole head of the screw and then pushed the wrench in the hole to clear it out of paint. (then I wiped off the wrench)

So as long as you use the right size wrench that fits right in to the hole then you won't scratch anything.. at least so far for me anywayz.

I did that too...painted my screwheads with a bottle of touchup paint I had already (in Redfire). I just painted around the holes and the allen wrench goes into the hole so there's nothing for it to touch on the surface of the screwhead to mess up the paint job.

You would think it would be easy to find SS hardware like that.
Good freakin luck unless you special order it. I had to buy 100
to get 6.They cost$25. I gave all the others away to forum
members last year.

I painted my SS btton heads and they look good. I just let
the surface action of the paint keep itself away from the allen slot.
