Default RE: ever get bored of your car?

My name says it all... I was a loyal GM guy - camaros, chevelles, el caminos - but I always liked mustangs and loved kidding my Found onRoad Deadbuddys - all in good fun.

I almost bought a '68CA Specialas my first car. Damn collector over bid me by $2K and snagged the car from me... This was in 1990. The seller wanted 4K and a stinking collector was waiting when I came in from thetest drive and offered 6K. Sure wish I had that car now.

I'll never forget the first timeI drove a 5spd fox when I was 16 (I had an el Camion at the time.)The Fox was just such a better car than the 5.7 TPI's. Everything about that car was better than the IROC's.

Then along came the LT1 and it was advanatage GM. I've driven LS1's and LT1's and they are great cars - powerful, fast, a"simple" power train. Try changing a cam in your driveway on yourmod motor with basic hand tools.

Overall the Lx1's have crappy interior and rattles galore - the seats are basicallly on the floor and it has that cheesy GM interior feel. An especially crappy interior for those north of 6ft (like me @ 6'4")

The S197 is a more refined car.My only wish is we were running the 5.4 vs the 4.6. I've run my current stang againstmy bossesmodded LS1 (WS6) and it was close (I had agood jumpout of the hole throughthird gear). The longer that race goes the more our smaller displacement works against us.

If you like cars, rather than manufacturers, you'd appreciate the GM or Ford stuff for what it is. Although Mopar made some cool stuff everything is uber expensive, uber rare and some of it uber ugly - i.e. darts and dusters.

Anyone worth a salt also knows that, hands down the greatest power plant of all time... without a shadow of doubt, isthe small block chevy. There is no arguement.

Now I'm gonna go in the garage and stare at mymustang!

Ever get bored of my car?

.....

No.
Buy a CAI & Tune, it fixes everything. You'll get that grin back you had when you first bought it. I can still remember the first run I did with my cai/tune, Doug from bamachips was in the car with me... I was smiling for hours.

But since we're having story time about dad's and camaros, roflmao.
I just found these pictures yesterday inmy grandmothersattic of his '67 maro he got when he turned 16.

This proves that not all camaros are ugly.
Here's my 2007 stang in the same driveway. Touching isn't it?
Muscle car families FTMFW!

You still live inthe same house don't you?? the house in the backgroun of both pictures seem to match. kinda coool
