exahust question need help

I have the Bassani axel back. Im wondering with size exhust tubes run from the headers back. Im looking to open up the exhaust. I dont want it that much louder. But When I get on it I can feel a slight hesitation. Im sure this is because the exhaust from the headers back is restricting (factory exhaust still) So Im looking for suggestions.

The pipes are 2.5" in diameter.

I have a brand new Bassani X-pipe with high-flow cats you can buy. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, I just received it by UPS this morning. I'm just having buyers remorse. It was an impulse buy, and I'd like to sell it if I can.

It also has cat-delete tubes if you want to run it as an offroad pipe.
It's this one.

why are you having remorse? Whats size are the pipes. 2.5 or are the bigger for better flow.

The pipes are 2.5" just like the stock ones.

I'm having remorse because I like the way my exhaust sounds just fine, and instead of buying new parts, I should be saving money. Like I said, I bought it on a whim, but I was regretting it even as it was being shipped.

no the factory 2.5 inch is more then enough for your car.......LT headers/ O/R midpipe would open it up alot more/make it better flowing (alot more HP) but changing the pipes to a larger size could be bad for it more then good......remember in some cases bigger isn't always better, you still need some backpressure.

Should I combine the long tube headers with the off rode mide pipes. The one thing I want to avoid is making the vehical too much louder.

if you dont want it too much louder, your probly ok w/ just changing the midpipe.
