If I get the offroad h pipe. Do I need to get the h pipe with cats to keep it legal? I am also looking at BBK long tube headers. Which should I do first as im still rebounding from the purchase of my 08 GT/CS. Thanks for the help!

O/R (off road) means there are no cats......buying a catted H (IDK where you can even get one) would be a waste of money because it comes stock with a catted H so you would get no sound improvement or performance improvement. What axlebacks do you have? In my case Im starting from the rear forward (axlebacks,midpipe,headers) If you going with LTs you may as well get the O/R midpipe (there are ways around emissions). My perfect setup would be Mac LT headers/Mac O/R prochamber (glorified H pipe)/and Mac axlebacks or Mac Boomtubes. If I were you I would get the axlebacks and then put the exhaust on hold for a while and get an Intake, pullies, and gears before headers...........alot more bang for you buck and you will feel itALOT more.

i think he meant should he keep the stock h pipe for inspection time to swap in and out. I would say yes keep it to be safe incase you might need it. However, if you go with longtubes and you are worried about emissions, get the catted pipe. Longtubes usually have their own mid pipes to complete the system. You can't mix and match longtubes with other mid pipes. Also longtubes are a REAL hassle to install you won't want to have to swap them in and out. It takes atleast 5 hours to install at the very minimum

get kooks lt headers they give you both a catted x and an o/r x pipe

You can go with Hooker Super Comps LT's and keep your factory pipes if you want (you just have to cut them back but they fit)... Or go with a high flow catted x pipe and still keep it emission legal. They're one of the most expensive headers but they really build one of the best headers you'll ever find.

Thanks for all the feedback it really helped. I have the frpp borlas axle back.....so anyone have opinions on what type of tuner I should get?

DO NOT get rid of your stock midpipes...they are worth money and you never know when you will need to put them back on.

Your tuner choice depends on who you want to tune your car...xcal and diablo are probably the 2 most popular on the forum.
