Emmissions????

I have an 06 gt with an off-road x-pipe and I was wondering if anyone has had to get an emmissions done on their car with an off-raod x-pipe on there? If you have, can you please let me know what you did to pass. Thanks

RE: Emmissions????

It depends on what you did with your 02 sensors?

RE: Emmissions????

By definition an Off Road mid-pipe has no Catalytic Converters. Therefore you can not pass any emissions test I know of: Visual, Tail Pipe, OBD-II port. The way you pass is to reinstall the stock mid-pipe w/Cats and hook up the rear O2s. If its an OBDII test return tostock Tune, clear all DTCs (if any), drive for a while to reset the "Readiness" of the system and then go get it tested.

As long as your check engine light is not on you should pass no problem, there is no visual inspection for converters, well at least in Ga from 1996 to present.

I think it all depends on where (which state) you live. Here in California they'd laugh you out of the test station. Return to stock is the only way to pass here unless your mods have a CARB sticker.
