Glad it was just the plugs. I burned up my intake valves using that stuff once and had to get whole new head, but that was in the 80's when all I was listening to was Van Halen. [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Good to see you did the right thing, my hats off to ya!
I know some harsh things were said to you, by me in particular and you didn’t necessarily deserve it, soI apologize to you. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

way to do the right thing, especially to a dealership who seems to go out of their way to screw you. at the end of the day, at least you can say you have your integrity.

i dont know why people gave you such grief; its not like there isnt people on this board that revert back to stock when they have warranty work done. its kinda the same thing.

I must've missed something somewhere.. Octance booster = bad for these cars? I have a 93 tune on my car, and I've always told myself that if I ever got stuck having to buy 91 while on a road tripe or something, I'd just put some octane booster in it to bring it up where it needed to be... Bad idea?? What's up? No Fireball or any of that stuff?
Too high octane is not as bad as too low octane, but if octane gets too much higher than what the engine is timed for then yes, the less explosive higher octane gas can cause major problems in a lesser timed engine. In this case he put in 104 octane booster. Who knows, his octane may have evened out to like 98-99. Yikes.
So I should use red loctite then instead of Fireball? That should be good for a few octane points, right?
It lives on [sm=laughat.gif]

I agree that if an apology was in order, then you delivered. Well done.

By the way....... $135 for these expensive plugs + install (since removing plugs on these cars can be scary) is actually a really good deal.....

Good point @ ~$10/per plug + tax.
