2008 TPMS

i have a 2008 gt and i have recently put on shelby razors 20x9's. so my problem is that every time i go to drive my car my TPMS light comes on and message center says its little warning. so is there any way to get rid of either of those or both.

There are a ton of posts about this. Push the button, use a PVC pipe, put the sensors on, etc...

I have the same problem. I put on new tires and wheels without switching the Sensors from the old wheels. You can't imagine how badly the system works.. With no sensors on the car, the TPMS light generally doesn't come on until I am 10 - 15 miles out of my driveway and going over 70 MPH. By this time it would be a little late for the system to figure out I have 4 flat tires...
As said before unless you want to mount the sensors on the new wheels (break them down mount sensors and re-balance, buy new belts to mount them to the 20" wheels), the pressure tube is one way to turn off the light.

pvc pipe is def. the best option. and kudos to the guy who first thought of it!

Whoever put your wheels on forgot to swap them out from the original tires. I was really pissed off because I told them specifically to do so and they ordered me some TPMS bands and put them in and it was all free.

+1
go back and whine to the people who sold you the tires and rims

otherwise put your sensors in a PVC tube, pressurize it and throw it in the trunk

Just do it the right way, it cost me a wopping $50 bucks to have them swap the sensors from my factory rims and put it on my new ones with bands installation and everything.

WTF is up with that? You really know how to rub people the wrong way. Bad childhood? Upset that you were known as a brat? Can't get laid? Go figure it out yourself. After a remark like that, I'M not offering any help.

To the OP, hopefully you still have your sensors. I'd go back to whoever mounted your tires and see what they'll do for you. You can buy the TPMS hardware kits (you'll need 4) from American Muscle for about $16.99 each. They include the band, bracket and adhesive. The stock bands are not reusable. I wish you luck.
