I'm not familiar with the Zex kit... The last kit I bought had a large hex shaped piece that screwed on the bottle... The hose screwed onto that... Perpendicular to that was a port for the gauge... If you take some pics of what you have, I'd be happy to help you figure it out....
I'm pretty sure most of the bottles are the same. I have the same part on mine. I'm assuming that the part thats plugged opposite the part that you screw the hose on is where the gauge goes, just need to figure out how to get that plug off, I'm going to go try and find out now.
The part thats "plugged" opposite the hose outlet is the pressure relief valve.
DONT SCREW WITH THAT. USE AN ADAPTER AS SHOWN IN THE PIC ABOVE.
