What's the message center all about?

The message center tells you average MPG, average speed, trip, trip time, miles until empty and "instant mpg". Pretty dang handy. Well worth the money IMHO. I didn't like everything else that came in the IUP, especially the silver dash, so I installed the instrument cluster after I bought the car.

I like the silver dash, gives me more of an attitude! but that's my opinion.

Where does it say the MPG and all that stuff... on the shaker display or on the dash?

On the dash, under the speedometer. The colors are ok, but you'll find after a few times playing with it, you'll only use 1 or 2 colors. You can't adjust it while moving. Must be stopped, and the headlights must be on also to adjust it. Plus, when you trying to show your friends how cool it is, you have to shut the driver's door as well? Can't adjust it with the door opened! I only use all Blue or all Green.

1: How do you change the color? Park, Push setup and hold reset i think (hard to remember w/o seeing it) (either way its Easyy)
2: Are the colors any good? Yeah, match your car, i did, blue and blue
3: If you have this option, do you change it often? At night, on the weekends i do 2 show it off to girls[8D], but usually leave it blue

Yes. There have been several post here and on other boards about putting in mycolor into cars that did not come with it.
This thread is pretty long, but I think it will have everything you want to know about the retrofit.
