Default Highly Dissapointed: Track Times Enclosed. Advice needed

Temps: Upper 60s, Sunny, to Low 70s
Tires: Stock P-Zeros (38psi)
Mods: Brenspeed 93oct Tune/SLP LM Axlebacks/Hurst Short Shifter/ Tokico DSpecs/ Steeda Springs/Steeda front and rear sways/strut bars

Best Time which was my first run: 13.70 @ 97mph 60':2.07

I had a good 60 then I spun all of second. The times just got worse as the day progressed. My highest trap was 102 but et was 14.1.

Im wanting to go with a catless xpipe and tune again. I want a low 13.

Advice please! Im not a great driver either.. I had trouble getting into 4th gear up top.

The stock tires are your problem.

+1......most people dont know how to actually run at the track their first few times out....you will get better but it does take practice

Also the street is nothing like the track so just cause you pulled a 13.1 using a gtech on the street doesnt mean you will run that when you get to the track.

Good luck!

Tires are definitely the problem. You can still do a lot better on the stockers, though. They're overinflated. For street driving, they should be at 35psi, not 38. For the drag strip, the fronts should be at about 40psi and the rears around 20-25. That should help.

Of course, drag radials would be best

Wheelspin kills ET. Get better tires.

With 3.55 gears you should not be getting into 4th. With the same mods as you i ran 13.33 on street tires in a vert. Its all about getting out of the hole.

I added some 4.10s and mickey thompsons and ran 12.87

Practice makes perfect. And you should lower your tire pressure to like 20

You really need to either change your tires or at least try dropping pressure in those stock ones...
