Thanks for reminding me!
I gotta get new batteries for my remote.
Haven't replaced them yet and I've been using it since April of 2005!
I have a feeling there will be no warning if the batteries become low and one day I just won't be able to open my doors with the remote. If I can't turn off the alarm... Uh oh![:@]

The trunk wont open if you are moving or are in 1's gear, or in drive for the auto guys. I have to pop my trunk every day at work as they do a security check. I found out the first day I drove up to the parking lot.

On my 07 Vert, I can sit in 1st gear, (clutch in, of course), engine running and hit the trunk button on the key fob and the trunk will open. I do this every morning when I drop my daugher off at school.

Its the RKE transmitter on your key ring.
RKE equalss Remote Keyless Entry tramsmitter.

Ah, but you can turn off the alarm without the remote.
Just unlock the door with the key and then putthe key
in the Ignition and turn it to run.
