Default Oil change opinion

Hey y'all:

So I was on Spring Break this week and a family member offered to take my car to the stealership to get a spare key made. I was like "sure, that'd be great. Make sure they don't change ANYTHING AT ALL and that you get the two for $160 thing that I was quoted over the phone."

I come back, and in the corner of my window there is a "change your oil again at 9,060 miles" sticker. I'm like WTF?!?!?!?!?!!!! [:@] I had full synthetic in there earlier, having changed it at 3,200 or so. Since it was a free oil change, I'm assuming that they didn't replace my oil with full synthetic.

So I call up said family member and after some initial prodding and denial, she says "oh, well the oil change was free so I let them do it. It's all the same, right?"[:@] And of course, my 'stang being my baby and me not liking things done to her without my knowledge, i flipped out. *#^*^# And to top it all off, she only got the ONE key for $130 rather than TWO for $160. But that's entirely seperate topic...

So, three questions:

1) Is it bad for my engine to go from synthetic blend (or whatever Ford uses) to Mobil1 Full synthetic and then back?

2) I'm thinking about changing it back to Full Synthetic again right now (nevermind the fact that my old oil was still good [:@] and that full synthetic costs tons of money). Worth it? Or should I just drive the 3,000 out and then change it back?

3) My car feels more sluggish. Is it all in my head? I thought it felt sluggish BEFORE I noticed the sticker in my window, and I drove about 100 miles yesterday thinking that before I figured out that the oil got changed. Now that I know my oil got changed without my approval, it definitely feels slower. But that might just be my imagination.

Thanks for the help.

#*&^#*^ *#&^# * ^##&* %#&%^# &#^%# . I'm probably overreacting, but still. [:@] <--- me. I hate having things done to my car without my knowledge.

It wont hurt anything. It shouldnt make your car sluggish cause its the same viscosity if its synth or fossil oil. Just run it for 3K & go back to your synth then. Hope you learned your lessen, if you want it done right, do it your self.

But was the filter changed also?
The need for having the dealership
cut you a key when they are available
on eBay for $20 a pairand easily user programmed? []

1. OEM oil to synthetic and back to OEM oil
without a filter change and you are now running
a blended oil.
No problems should be incured from the swapping of oils.

2. Drive the 3K and then go back to Mobil1.

3. What weight were you running (Mobil1) as to what you
are now running thanks to the dealer? Heavier weights
will cause more oil pump drag. [:@]

I'm assuming that if the dealership changed the oil, they also changed the filter. Hell, even Midas did that. Bad assumption?

Also, I couldn't program a new key from ebay because I'd already lost one and was on my last one. Apparently, you need two to be able to program a new key.

Anyway, back on topic...

ahha your fine buddy. Just change your oil later to synthetic. Nothing wrong with Ford Motorcraft blend either.

Oh *****...any way to do it retroactively? (I'll do that proactively from now on).
