Mufflers that sound like OEM but louder

RE: Mufflers that sound like OEM but louder
This is how I'm running right now... until the Mid-Muffler exhaust goes in, at least. It sounds good, but just not quite good enough.

Why not just buy an Offroad H pipe and leave stock mufflers?

I like the sound of the OEM mufflers. I've listened to all the online clips and listened to people's cars in person, and most aftermarket mufflers are too obnoxious, have a nasty raspy tone, sound good at idle but not at WOT or vice versa, etc... I'd like to have a little more volume that stock without chaging the basic sound of the stock exhaust. What axle backs would be louder than stock without changing the stock sound much?

Judging from the sound of most of the Gt's around here I'd say you are correct. The trend seems to be "the louder the better". I don't mind louder, but I don't like obnoxious. I guess that's a matter of opinion though. I still like to hear the stereo or carry on a conversation in the car sometimes.

I will be doing the entire interior (doors, floor, trunk, deck, etc.) with Dynamat soon.
I might just do the JBA and hope the Dynamat kills some of the sound.
