Mufflers that sound like OEM but louder
I like the sound of the OEM mufflers. I've listened to all the online clips and listened to people's cars in person, and most aftermarket mufflers are too obnoxious, have a nasty raspy tone, sound good at idle but not at WOT or vice versa, etc... I'd like to have a little more volume that stock without chaging the basic sound of the stock exhaust. What axle backs would be louder than stock without changing the stock sound much?

Exactly my reasoning for buying the Flow ATs

GTA's. Sometimes I wish they were a little bit louder, but with no drone it may be what you're looking for.

Go Pypes Violators. They are loader and deep. There is very little drone not like some of the others. They also look good and are under $300. Get the polished Stainless they look great and the tips look nice as well.

The bullitt mufflers are a step above OEM. My 40 series flowmasters sound leaps beyond OEM and have a great sound; not not as loud an obnoxious as many other aftermarket mufflers.

Why not just buy an Offroad H pipe and leave stock mufflers?

Definately the GTA's. Not as loud as the FRPP/Borla Stingers but a bit louder than stock. I have the Stingers and find them a great choice between stock and pissing off the neighbors.
