Default Water leak

So today I attempted to start my GT...and the battery was dead...this is the first time I have had this problem with this car, the pass side carpet was fairly wet...called the dealer and they told me to go pound sand because my 05 isn't under warranty, so I ask, how do I seal this up myself?

main thing is to find the exact entry of the leak.

It sucks that Ford won't warranty the leak. Hope you find an easy fix. I honestly believe FoMoCo should have to repair their faulty workmanship no matter if the warranty is up. Its a well known and common problem, plus it causes electrical issues if the SJB shorts out. Good luck

One area for sure that they sealed on my car is above the electrical box down on the front passenger side. If you remove the kick panel and look up above the electrical box there's an area where the water can come in. They really sealed that area on my car. They had to order the goo to seal it and then more or less covered the whole area up there so nothing can come in. I also believe they did an area under the front cowell on the passenger side firewall. But, I didn't remove anything to see exactly what they did. Also, the grommets in the firewall where the wiring comes through on the passenger side is also a place that water can come in.

I've used a high pressure hose at the car wash and sprayed the car since the fix and so far I can't see anything coming in. My warranty is up in May so I'll still be watching this closely until then.

Good luck. Hope you can fix it.

Please read and understand the entire TSB on the subject
before purchasing items to fix it with. The TSB says NO SILICONE.
The pressurizing of the cabin is the first step in finding leaks.
