Paintless dent repair is worth a try. I had a dent just like you are describing on my passenger side door, about the same size and right on the body line. The paintless dent repair guy came to my office during the day and did his work. It really did make a huge difference. Not 100% perfect but I would say 90% or more - you would not notice it if you did not know it was there.
If you are paying for this yourself and don't want to cough up the $1k or so for a door reskin and can live with a slight remnant of the dent then it's a way to save lots of money.
Kevin.

dude that sucks. i'd be so heated. it would've been pretty tight if you got the license plate number down, but i'm guessing you couldn't grab it as you were too far to see it clearly.

If the gym you were at requires memberships, then that person probably comes regularly at that time. Get em next time, confront them firmly and as politely as you can stand. If they give you any crap just call the cops and tell them you witnessed it.
Ok, so the police might be interested, but if they happen to be car guys the interest will go way up

I had a similar thing happen to me. However, I didn't see who did it to me.........found it when I got home from a trip and assumed it happened in a restaurant parking lot. I felt sick! My 07 GT was only a couple of months old.Well, my insurance company (State Farm) covered the repair and itdidn't affect my premium. My dealer's body shop said that it might be able to be fixed with paintless dent repair.......he had 2 companys that did this for him. He called the first one who, after looking at the dent, said no way (dent was right on the body line crease, but no paint was broken). The second company said he could do it and DID.........I can't see it or even feel where the dent was. My insurance company said OK forpaintlessdent repair,or if it didn't work, they would have paid for complete repair and repaint if needed. Go check it out with your insurance company.
