Default BMR drive shaft loop/x-pipe informational experience......

For those who plan on installing a BMR front drive shaft safety loop and are currently running a Bassani X-pipe, modification of the mounting bracket will be required. On my car, the hangers were in the way, which made removing the transmission cross member's rear bolts a hassle. The bracket is too long and requires cutting about 1/4" (.25) from both ends, as well as decreasing the degree on the angled section. I cut a 1/4" from each end, then used a combination square with a 45 degree angle. I uses a cut-off disc with my grinder, and cleaned the edges up afterwards. Painted the raw metal with "hammered" type spray paint.

This is a quick "paint" job, roughly showing the mod. I used a picture from TacoBill's drive shaft how-to, couldn't find a better picture of the bracket.

Sorry, no pictures of the "new" part.
