Yes, opaque vinyl works fine. But to get a fade, you'll need a thermal print on clear vinyl. Black, white, silver, etc.. those work fine on any color car. But colors only work on white cars. Auto Trim Design charges an outrageous price for these. If colors would work for most people, why wouldn't they want to offer them? I spoke to 5 different vendors when I selected one to have mine made, and they all said the same thing. Colored fades will not work on colored cars. It won't look right. It won't look the way you would want it to. I don't make my stripes to make money. I'm simply providing a service. So I'm not going to sell a stripe that won't look right. That's a dis-service.
