Default Key Fob Rests on Knee?

So I just purchased a 2006 Mustang GT. The one thing that really irritates me is that when I'm driving the remote key fob dangles and rests on my knee. Anyone else notice this? I think it's just poor ignition placement by Ford. I don't have this problem with my fox 5.0's or with the SN95 I used to own.

Yeah that bothered me as well. What I did to fix it is you buy the valcro tape and put one side on the back of the key fob and stick the other behind the steering wheel and wiper arm.

yeah, you'll get use to it soon enough, don't worry. You're going to be too busy going WOT or crazy around turns to pay attention to a little plastice thingy banging your knee.

Mine does that and I hate it...I wedge the keyfob up into the crack above the key by the column and it holds it tight while I drive.

If the keyfob is resting on your knee, you aren't driving hard enough.. That thing should be pinned against the back of the wheel from all your WOT madness!

mine was occasionally touching my knee. But then I had my home keys on another ring attached to the car keys' ring. I changed things around a little, but it can sometime still hit. I guess they need to give us a combo key/ remote, but then what would I put in my surf trunks when I go to the beach???!!! Those things ain't waterproof!
