Guys, I am new to these forums. Got interested in the Shelby due to me wanting a sports car with something original and absolutely love how it looks and the power it is gonna have. My question is, can I realisticly expect to be able to get one of these for list price? I don't have the money right now to be getting really crazy as far as price goes, I paid #35K for my 2005 Acura TL which replaced my wrecked 04 Pontiac GTO, which was not my fault. The styling of the Shelby simply blows away what the GTO has to offer. The TL is a great car, but I need a sports car plain and simple. I guess the other problem is that I am 24 years old and have been working for a year now to pay off college bills, finally almost out of debt, and will be able to save a good chunk by fall 06 if that is when these are coming out. I guess I am just affraid some high-roller is gonna drop in and decide he wants one and give them a ton of money for my Shelby. Any suggestions on how to procure one of these with some gurantee? My neighbor used to be a GM or high-up at two of the local Ford SVT dealers, and still works for the same family of dealerships. I'm sure he could pull some strings for me if possible. Finally, there any chance this car will go for war over $40,000? Because if so, I guess I'll just be looking at something else.

It's listed at over 40k and with dealer mark up I would expect it to climb over 50k. [:'(]
