I think mine was about $150 at the local Ford affiliated body shop. It's not ahard job really but getting the glass out myself was the thing I turned my back on.

I had mine done by the Ford dealer for $75 or so. I definitely wouldn't pay more than $150. Just make sure you go to a place with a good reputation and that you're insistent that they use adhesion promoter.

I figure Ford probably sees quite a bit of glass from accidents. Plus, I bought 2 brand new cars from them that year, so I knew they'd treat me right. The installer marred the corner of one of them and had their paint guy fix it without hesitation (or charge, of course). They did a great job.

you might get a quote from an AGR shop like safelite.they did my DD windshield in less than an hour. now THEY do that stuff all day long. They should do a real professional job and fast. I am only guessing here but they should be cheaper than a dealer. and they have tools such as heater wands that heat the silicone from the outside before they event start cutting to make it an even easier and faster job.

p.s. I installed my SHRs myself and learned a thing or two in the process. If you were close I would just charge you a couple of cases of good beer. I've got the tools and all now....

A little research and you should be able to do the job yourself. I'm not sure what kind of compound they use to secure the glass to the body or if it's just 100% silicone... Also, how does one hold the glass in place till it dries? I used to work at a window place, and we did all kinds of housing glass repairs and window removals/repairs... I'm sure the process is 80% the same.

probably is. there is a good install procedure on the SHR site. they also sell the fast curing high strength adhesive along with the window removal tool kit. it will cost youmaybe 50 for the kit and all (I forget). if you can get someone to do it for say 100 maybe you will save yourself a couple of hours removing all the interior trim etc. of course it all depends on what you want to do. I am not mechanically inclined and had myself a nice little adventure story to go with the louvers install. some might just say 'Pay the man.'
