Best Use for $1000?

I recently got a stock 05 GT. The only thing I've done so far is add a pair of Ford Racing Stingers. My overall idea is to get improvements in all areas (acceleration, handling, etc...). I'm planning on spending $1000-$1250 of my tax refund on mods. I've gotta do my part to help the economy, right?;) But seriously, I've got student loans to pay off and $1250 is really a self-imposed hard limit. My plan is to slowly build the car up as my budget allows, and once it is paid off, supercharge it. But for now, I'm interested in the best bang for the buck mods. I know intake/tune is on the list for around $600. What else would you guys recomend? I was thinking maybe something suspension related. Thanks for your help!

If you can get the gears installed for $1000 - CAI/Tune - Cost of Gears....Do it!!

I was thinking about gears. I already have the 3.55s. I've heard that the 3.73 isnt much of an improvement while the 4.10s aren't good if the car is supercharged. Could be wrong though. I'm pretty much a noob.

You are pretty much correct, but then again, if you are going to go with a Supercharger that soon, then don't spend the money on a CAI and tune either. Do as Warmachine said, and save your money for the blower....

if I were you, I would just save up for the supercharger, but if you have to buy something now I would go CAI and some exhaust.

VMP Tuning. VMP Half CAIand SCT Xcal2 Tuner for $439. Half CAI means no replacement inlet tube and no heat shield. Best bang for the buck. Justin knows his stuff. Your going to need a Tuner for the Supercharger anyway. You can sell the Filter with the MAF Tube for close to the $60 extra you spent on it. If you decide to forego the Supercharger you can buy the C&L Racer Inlet Tube and Heat Shield from VMP to turn it into the full intake. Thats only worth about 3 hp though.

The fastest CAI/Tune only car I know of (12.7 on factory Pirellis) AmericanSpeed runs a VMP Mailorder Tune.
...and no I dont run his tune or intake.

After that I would go with some LCA's, Steeda Springs, Adjustable Panhard Rod, Panhard Bar Brace, Tokico D Spec Adjustable Shocks. That unfortunately would put you about $250 over budget. I cant see anything I wouldnt do while I was at it though.
