Just installed gauges, hurst shifter, and billet trim, PICS
Hey guys, just got the stang about 3 weeks ago and im lovin it! did this the last couple days and what a difference in appearence, plus the shifter is amazing. The oil pressure gauge is the only one not working, my dad thinks the wire is grounded somewhere, we are gonna have to run a dummy wire to figure out what the hell is wrong, cause its really aggrevating lol. Hopefully we can get it working properly, but all the other gauges are very nice, plus they match the blue spedometers at night which is pretty bad *** =D
let me know what you guys think, thanks
I hope the pics work....first time tryin this

RE: Just installed gauges, hurst shifter, and billet trim, PICS
i installed it under the car with this electric sending unit write by the oil filter, the sending unit didnt fit so i bought a shorter oil filter and it fit like a glove, ran the wire under the car and through the fire wall, then up the dash into the gauges. It must be grounded somewhere or something, its kinda weird that the oil temp works but the oil pressure doesnt since they are from the same unit.

well i guess it could be
a) bad pressure sender or
b) grounded signal wire (like you suspect)
what i would do, is measure the resistance
(with a VOM) between the signal wire (at the sender)
and frame ground
if it is less than say 1-2 ohms, then yeah
the wire is shorted to ground...
if it's a very high value, the wire's probably
ok and it may be your sender.
