Default REAR SWAY BAR DELETE?

Anyone remove the rear swaybar for 1/4?
Just wondering how the car would act with out it.
I do drive the car, but very little. About 3000 miles a year.

Have you removed the rear seats? I think that will reduce a lot more weight and wont have negative handling affects.

ive only ever heard of people going with bigger rear sways for more traction. never heard of anyone getting rid of the rear. now front is a different story. that puppy should be long gone.

if you want quicker times take out your spare/ rear seat/passenger seat. that alone shaves about 110lbs. and you can get a racing seat and shave another 20-30.

The rear seats weigh like 14 pounds. What will that do?
Lots of people remove the rear sway bar for 15" rims and/or to use an anti-roll bar.

Sway bars are for cornering right?
Well the car I'm working on right now (FR500C), is a true road race car and it doesn't have one.

Can you say: "Useless?"

Might be a different story on a IRS though. I
In fact, it is.

It's not really that big of a deal. Truthfully, once you make some big torque, you want to remove it and put the BMR extreme anti roll bar back there and your abiliyt to 'hook' goes up ten fold...

However, if you have no problems hooking now - I'd just leave it in.

Taking out the rear seats isn't gonna save any substantial weight...you could take a good dump before you run and it would be about equivalent. J/K
