rattling noise after tune
 

i took the car into the dealer on saturday, and i had returned the car to stock tune with 87 gas 2 days earlier. so today i ran out of the 87, and put 93 in, and loaded the tune at the gas station. when in higher rpms, i hear a rattling noise from middle-end of the car. after i shift it goes away, and at high rpms starts again. im not positive it wasnt there before the tune, but i heard it for the 1st time today.




also, dealership guy told me, that he knew a tune was loaded. even though i drove 60+ miles after returning to stock and had 87. (i left the bbk on). is that possible?

Try filling with another tank of 93. Or load a lower octane tune and see if it goes away.

As far as the dealer is concerned, I don't give a ratz azz if he knows I have a tune (and my dealer knows). Let them challenge you when it comes to a warranty issue. If they figure you to be a repeat customer they won't hassle you.
