Do you really lose torque with the FRPP Stingers? I just installed them today and I felt a difference while driving around town. I was a little afraid of suffering a loss of power/torque because of the swap. Sounds good though!

I really wouldn't worry about backpressure and burnt valves unless you start running open headers or maybe cutouts. Mid-pipes and the exhaust tubing itself provides enough low backpressure to keep things in check.

I can confirm I lost power going back to stock mufflers from my loudmouths. Looks like the power I thought wasn't there was actually there. The stock mufflers weren't just quiet when I put them back on, they made me feel like the car didn't want to move. Hey maybe my tuner (bama) took loudmouths into account, who knows, but the stockers being put back on sucked. The car fought to show any jump in speed.

On this car the stock muffler is not restrictive enough to stress changing it for the performance purposes. Most people do it for the sound. But normally on a car that has a restrictive muffler a free flowing one would add a little HP, but once again the gains would be minimal. My friend gainedless than 2 hp with a free flowing muffler on his RSX

Oh by the way, mynameismike65, most people complain about the GAS MILEAGE, not because of the car, but because of the gas prices. You know, not everybody can afford 10mpg so they rather stick with 13-14 and some people do work more than 1 job (I'm one of them)to afford this nice car that most forum members out here are driving so don't take gas mileage complaints up the rear please

So, backpressure makes torque? Sounds retarded. (TIMMY!) Seriously, anyone install FRPP stingers and get less torque?
Bye the way - I'm a huge South Park fan. Don't hate retarded people or anything. (timmy) is just a joke.

IF an axleback reduces torque, you probably won't notice it unless perhaps you're at the track. But the sweet rumble will make up for that. I'm running the Stingers and, even with some drone, I love them. And like Pwny said, it DOES make the females moist!
