Default Questions about CDC gauge pod

I am thinking about getting the CDC center dash gauge pod, but I am wondering about the color and painting it. Does it come in a color that matches the factory interior (charcoal) or would I have to paint it. If I do paint it, can I do it myself? Is there a good paint our there to match the factory interior?

Who has pictures of it out there besides the vendor photos?

Thanks!

The pod is smooth black plastic. If you want it to match the dash you have to texture and paint it yourself. For best results use SEM texture and SEM charcoal interior color. With a bit of patience you can get it pretty close.

I decided to go with the autometer instead, it comes textured and I liked it better on the dash.

Thanks Gray. I'm trying to decide on gauges for the x-charger. I like the angle on the autometer pod, but it just seems so big in all the pictures. You are pretty happy with it though? I assume you eventually sold your CDC unit...

Yes sold it. The autometer is a bit large but everyone that sits in the car seems to like it.
I'm thinking about trying the SOS dash pod or going to a single DIN radio and using the SOSdash panel (in black).

oI had my painter paint it. It took him a few minutes and he did it for 10 bucks.
