Default Axle back tune??

I did a little test this afternoon and took off my mufflers to see just how loud my GT is so i can guage what the Pypes muffler delete kit is roughly going to sound like...and it rocks. I can't get enough of the burble, i took it for about a 3 mile drive, no biggie, but i still can't take it above 3k rpm since i'm at 150 miles still and need quite a bit more breaking in.

My concern was the loud popping noise when letting off the throttle, i THINK the car probably usually has that but the muffler tones it out. The big question is...would an axle back need a tune?? I really can't imagine much of a power difference, but i'm really looking more towards damage done. Is it safe to run this on a stock or CAI only tune without mufflers? Does it freeflow enough to mess with back pressure? My guess is no...what's your input.

*Edited for spelling*

That's what i figured, so id the popping just some fuel escaping the valves and igniting or somewhere along those lines? and maybe it's just not as noticeable on the stock mufflers. I had Flowmasters on my 06, and i want to say i had some popping in that, but it's been like 8 months and i just can't remember.

Is there something i am missing? Or did you think i was talking about exhaust break-in? I need to know because if i'm incorrect on the break in period, i'm painting the streets black tomorrow
