Default those with clear bras chime in

Am getting clear bra on 07 GT vert next week. Graphics shop said I can choose 3M,Xpel, or Ventureshieldfor same price, which is around $800.
1) is this a good price for complete job withall pieces/areas? I'm in SE PA.
2) Which brand?

Also, would this stuff sufficiently take the place of mud/splash guards at protecting the rockers and lower rear qtrs?

Thanks in advance.

800 seems too high.. you could get the bumper repainted for less than that when the rock chips do come

I paid $500 for just the front end (bumper, fenders, hood). Did not include headlights, rockers, side mirrors, etc. What exactly are you getting done?

Ithought Xpel and 3M were the same. I used an Xpel installer - they used 3M film.

Everything possible, including headlights, rockers, mirrors, and lower qtrs.

OK on the 3m vs Xpel. that could be.

Yeah, I know. - there are a lot of better ways to spend $800 on my car but I have an 07 Mazda3 with everything around the bottom of the body a white haze from all the damage from these sukas$$ PA roads. I don't want it on this car too.

I just paid $500 for the Venture Shield complete kit, here in West Virginia. To include headlights, complete ground effects, and a few extra areas that i had asked for. It looks great, very hard to tell that i even have it on, and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Xpel uses 3M film. I've used it on my truck and out it on my new '08 GT last week, I think it's a good investment. Yes, if you get the lower protection it will work in place of mudflaps. $800 is probably about right if they are doing the whole front end, lights, and rocker panels. Make sure the shop is experienced at paint protection film, it's not quite as easy as window film to get it right.

Wow sounds like I'm paying a pretty good buck, guess I can't really compare the northeast with some other areas of the country tho. I priced several places within 2 hr drive and all prices were pretty close. I didn't pick the cheapest place but I 'm pretty confident I'm going with a good place that has done a lot of them.

Yah I have to say after 2 years and only 30,000 kilometers either the paint is garbage, or I have the worse luck for taking rocks that chip. I sincerely wish I had gotten the clear bra done at the minimum on the front end. Definitely will be a good investment

Realize that $500-800 is hard to justify because it's something you don't get to see or feel the results, but just know that it was a wise decision to perform!
