Default My 5.4 4v build

Just wanted to share some pics of my almost complete project. PowerHouse did all the work converting from my 4.0 turbo to the GT500 engine.
Short mod list is:
GT500 engine
Lentech 4r70 Strip Terminator trans
Baumann electronic trans controller
PowerHouse 70mm turbo kit
Custom intake & reservoir
AFCO heat exchanger

Still to do:
Chromoly roll cage w/ swingouts (shooting to complete mid-May)
Paint Steeda 2 1/2" Race Cowl hood
Figure out what wheels I want to run...def. going with 15's and want to run 325/50/15 MT's.

We are shooting for dyno time come mid next week and tentatively going to set the boost to 13psi and see what she does. I may have to dial back a bit via boost controller as my main focus is running the FFW Street Bandit class at a 10.6 index. After those events will probably look to chase ET's through the fall.

Engine bay is about 95% complete, just need the finishing touches like caps and such.

I looked at the picture and said, "WTF, he converted a GT500 motor to NA." Then I scrolled down and saw the turbo. Very nice, and scary.

that's awesome, please keep us updated. What did you pay for that swap, if you don't mind me asking?

What's up with the thickening of the intake? Like it goes from wide to skinny all of a sudden...?

That looks sweet, but I bet it cost a ton. Looks like a lot of custom fabrication.

Air to water intercooler and PH fabbed up a reservoir that now sits in the stock battery location to hold ice when needed. The battery was moved to the trunk, not for weight savings but for space!
