Motor out, what to do????

RE: Motor out, what to do????
You hit the nail on the head when considering a stroker kit. You already have a perfectly good rotating assembly - why toss it? With a TT you will be able to make all the power you want so it's not really worth the cost for a complete swap to get another 21 cubes IMO.
I would stick to your idea of upgrading the now weak link on the E which is the valve train IMO. 1mm oversize Inconel valves, TT springs, retainers, etc.
I would also consider upgrade your cams to a good turbo grind and use the livernois lockouts on them.
Definitely upgrade your injectors, swap to -8 lines, some fuel rails. Go ahead and get the CMCP deletes now if you are sure you are going to get a TT kit. Does the E have the GT500 fuel system? If not - add that.
Decide for sure if you are going with a turbo or not and get some coated shorties if so, some L/T's if not. I'd go ahead and put in the morroso eliminator 7qt oil pan now with a canton windage tray if the motor is going to be out.
With a turbo, I'd also put in a bigger rad now too.
Just some ideas...[8D]

RE: Motor out, what to do????
Thanks for the ideas. I figured if I need to upgrade the rods than might as well do the stroker kit. More power at less boost. This is a weekend car and being realistic I will be around 700RWHP on pump gas. Anything more is going to require a different fuel system and race fuel. TT is a definite. Only thing keeping me from doing the turbo's would be if I have to replace the entire block and don't have the funds to do both. Looking at the leathal performance fuel upgrade. Yes, the E comes with the GT500 dual fuel pumps.

Add a 3.750 Crank, keep the stock bore just hone the walls. Deburr and dull the edges in the internals of the block to cut down on potential cracking and stress fracturing. Manley rods, pistons, get the crank from Kellogg.

some 3v high HP cars are using the stock valves, retainers, and springs.
MMR does a port and polish that i will be doing in the future
Stage 1 3 Valve $500 +20HP
Stage 2 3 Valve $600 +30HP
Stage 3 3 Valve $700 +40HP
