I'd agree that those numbers are pretty close. I was on that same Dyno 2 weeks ago and pulled 286 rwhp and 303 ftlb. Basically you have a CIA and Tune which is netting you 20+ rwhp, which is pretty much the norm.

Wow, I have seen spikes in a dyno chart before, but never loops. It looks like your engine slowed down or something like the wheels slipped and he let of the gas for a second then kept going. I dont know the exact specs of the stock T/C, but I would guess it locks up under 3000rpms.

I'd say you're only about 10 hp off of where I'd expect you to be. The T/C locking up looks fine and that loop is what it should look like. I notice the dyno sheet says temp is over 91 degrees and that could rob some power too, but it may also be why VMP said it's a little rich. Talk to doug about it and send him the sheet. Some cheap upgrades to capture that extra 10 hp without touching the exhaust would be UDP's, and changing out the tranny fluid to Amsoil, as well as running full synthetic oil in the engineand gearbox with your 3.73's, if you're not already doing that.

It would be interesting to see the car on a cooler day too. If you're going to get it dyno'd again after some fine tuning or more mods, let us know how it turned out!

+1 on weirdest dyno sheet ever.

That's EXACTLY what the car was making. It won't make a difference if it's colder or warmer. Look at the CF. It was 1.00. That means zero correction factor.

When I did my pulls at Brenspeed, my CF was .97, meaning on THAT day my car actually made 447rwhp and was adjusted down because it was extra cold out (~43* F).

Dynojets all perform corrections for altitude, temp, and humidity. 1.00 means no correction necessary.

I'd agree that's a TAD low, but definitely nothing to be worried about. 5-10 horse at most, and5-10 horse is NOT something the ***-dyno is going to tell you about.

I went to the Mustangs and Mustangs showat the Fantasy of Flight Museum just outside of Lakeland Florida today. VMP Tuning was there with a mobile Dynojet. I was a little (ok, alot) dissapointed with my numbers. He did tell me that the car is running a little rich, so I guess I'll get with Doug at Bama to work on my tune a little bit. The Dyno sheets shows a max of 282.19 RWHP and 280.26 ft-lbs, but the Dyno guy said that it just bumps up there when the torque converter locks up. My actual numbers are about 270 RWHP and 270 ft-lbs. I know the auto sucks up a lot of power, but I thought I would be a little higher than this! By comparison, the friend that I went with has a bone stock GT 5-spd (except exhaust) and he made about the same HP and about 25 more ft-lbs.

Thoughts?

Checked out your pull. The torque converter is unlocking. (where you see the little "whoop d Doos"

This issue was uncovered about 2 years ago. Get with Doug, tell him what your mods are and he will send you a tune that will surprise you.

Without getting into a very long story about the auto tranny and torque converter here, just ask Doug, he will tell you the whole story.

Call him on the phone.
