well I'm assuming if it wasn't "retro-futuristic", as ford calls it, it would've looked closer to this

so no

the foxes, sn95s, and new edges never looked like a Mustang to me, just some other car. They're fine cars, but put them next to some of their competitors, and for the layman its hard to tell the difference

Not a fan of the fox bodies.
I didnt like the SN95s either.
But the S197 stands out in
the crowd of the small lookalike
vehicles out there.
I cant tell a nissan from a accura
from a honda from a deawoo
at a distance, but I can pick
the S197 out from a distance.

if it was not retro, then I would not have even considered it. the look brought me to the lot....it made me deal for it and it made me buy it....

If it didnt have the retro look i wouldve just went with a early 70s muscle car and restored it instead....Either that or waited for the new Challenger...

It was part the look that sold me butI was really looking for a domestic 2dr V8 RWD Stick and in 2006 that limited it to the Mustang. Being a die-hard Mopar guy it was a hard pill to swallow butI love my car. I thought it would tide me over until the Challenger came out but that is going to be a 4150lb pig so I think I'll keep the Stang.

It's my fifth stang. I have always like the huge after market thats been available for them. I do appreciate the retro look though, even if thats not what I was buying it for. Some day the fox bodies will be retro. LOL.

Definately the retro look or I'd never have given it a second glance and would have waited for the Camaro. I really don't car for Ford but I just HAD to have this car.
