I recently installed a Hurst short throw shifter in my 08 GT but for some reason it grinds going into third onlyat high RPM's. I bought it to elliminate that. Anybody else have that problem or know what i did wrong.

you need motor mounts or k member brace with torque limiters or both......known issue reguardless of what shifter you are using

You said in your thread that you bought the Hurst to eliminate that issue......Was it doing it before the Hurst Install?????

Yea the stock shifter was bad for that, I drove a friends GT and he had the same problem, his hurst shifter did not gring at all in any gear.

"Usually" if the problem is torque twisting, it will be hard going from 1st to 2nd gear, it may be you have a bad 3rd gear synchro.

Actually, I had the same problem with the stock shifter and it was mostly the 2-3. 1-2 occaisionally. The CHE K member brace with torque limiters will fix that right up.
