Default Brakestand and launching the Mustang GT questions....

This is my first standard car, well first car period at that. Me and some buddies were fooling around to see what this car can do. It does donunts on pavement in 1st like nothing, fun stuff. But, I have never done abrakestand or a proper launch in a standard vehicle, i know the GT has plenty of power, as i can do a brakestand in a 03 Chevy truck with posi-track. I tried doinga brakestandwithout poping the clutch, so i would be just rolling the car in firstthen i would stop on the gas and hit the break but she didn't wanna seem to turn the tires, just rpm's would drop as the engine was working and the car would slowly go forward. So i thought i would try to "pop" the clutch reving at 2000rpm then hitting the gas and brake. Well the only thing that happened there was the car did a couple jerk's and stalled. I know it's not the car its the driver, but whats the best way to do a brake stand without harming the car, only the tires, as well as launching at a set of lights to get best take-offand notstalling and looking like a retard.

Thanks guys i know its stupid question to most people i'd say but i'm just getting into cars, still learning

Heel-toe it. This is what i do:

I have my heel on the brake,HARD, then i have my toe on the accerlator, and my left foot on the clutch. leave the car in 1st, rev to whatever you want, dump the clutch, or let it out slow.. works both ways, and just continue to hold down the brake hard, and control it with the accelerator. easy.

i tried this,my clutch stunk for 3 days after and still never turned the tires over,im really suprised my clutch is still holding after doing it.i still cant seem to do a good burn out either[X(]
