Default The Aluminator

yo i was just flippin through the pages of my issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine and i noticed the ad from ford racing, The Aluminator. the Aluminum block for our 4.6L pony. and i was wondering, is it worth it to buy one? I mean is it any durable than our factory cast iron block? and if so is it any lighter? and i guess the real question on my mind is, is it really worht it?

idk how much it costs, but i'm betting it's expensive. our blocks are aluminum anyway, and can take around 700 hp. i would say itmakes more cost effective sense to upgrade the rotating assembly instead of the whole block.

I saw the Aluminator in the Ford Racing Catalogue and I thought I remember it costing somewhere in the neighborhood of $9-$10K because it included a Super Charger. Is that not the same thing?

Ya Apex i think your right. i thought that they would just sell the 4.6 block only in aluminum but i guess it would just make more sence just to gut it and completely overhaul the thing while im at it
