Default Astra Hammond and GPS Antenna

I am thinking of getiing the Astra Hammond louvers but I have my GPS antenna on the rear deck. Do you think it will interfere with reception?

I'm sorry, I think I used the wrong term. By "rear deck" I meant on the shelf behind the rear seats under the glass. My bad.

Will it still work?

couldn't tell you. I'd imagine that metal just above it is not good for reception, but maybe it won't be enough to cause any harm

you could always try it with a test fit, and drive around and see if it works

if you do, tell us

Now I have to figure out what is more important, louvers or the GPS. I really do not want to mount the antenna under the dash. What a pain...

I read that GPS antennas need a clear view of the satellites.
They don't work when you're in tunnels and mine has problems when driving around tall buildings downtown.
I would expect the rear louvers will block most of the signals.

What's the point of that comment? I was just asking a question and hoping I would not have to relocate it. If you have nothing to say, please do not say anything.

Sheesh!

Not thru the louvers. Maybe at an angle?
You need a clear, unobstructed by metal
view of the Sats, for it to work properly.
