Has anyone done a Shelby GT500 Twin 65mm Throttle Body Upgrade on there GT? Noticed any difference? How is you gas mileage now?

there are many post regarding the trouble of tuning the TB
also there are many threads about how RPMoutlet messed over people

if you do a TB then first you need to have done all of your other N/A mods (CAI, CMCD, Headers, full exhaust, cams, ect)
as in near stock form it won't benefit from the TB much if any and the headache on getting a good TB tune might not be worth it

1. save the TB for last
2. Don't order from RPMoutlet

i have heard a few guys on here say that the GT500 is the only one that they would buy, and some of them have it on their N/A GT.

TB's only play a decent role when you have a FI engine. Otherwise the little gain you might see is not worth the headache or money. And actually the GT500 TB is a F150 TB. Youll still need to have an adaptor to make it fit your GT, but when and if I do one for myself, this would be the route I would take. Its been tested and tried by the factory.

I think the thing that got me was that the inlet tube adapter was $150. Add that to the cost of the TB and I didn't think that it was a reasonable cost for the "advertised" HP gain. IMO

even if you have FI you wont see much gains for it. couple guys are saying a few HP or nothing. Not worth the money

JDM makes this exact kit and has had it for over a year not for 400 total i think....i got the setup for 225 and never had any problems......cant say i felt any real gains either with JUST THAT added to the car....remember that all mods can build on others though, so if you have CMDP, LTs, CAI/Tune....you will probably get some gains with it

GMS (Granatelli) also has a twin 62mm TB. Don't know if this is the same one or not.
