RE: anyone had experience with the Shelby CS6/GT-H hood?
I had to make mine functional due to heat from the supercharger. See: http://www.v6power.net/vb/showthread...129&page=5post 186.
The large cutout on the bottom of the hood was to clear the plenum cover (the V6 intake sits quite a bit higher than the V8 so it may not be necessary on a V8). The small cutout was above the supercharger and the 3 holes were drilled above the air intake tubing to release heat. On the top of the hood, I drilled holes in the fake grill with a bit the same size as the fake holes (hold your hand between the drill and hood to keep from scratching the paint). I kept the holes above the water line as described in the link. I probably could add a third row of holes but I was real conservative. I haven't had any issues with water getting in engine compartment even when washing or raining. Air flows out the big hole around the plenum cover and up the smaller holes and makes its way out the drilled holes in the grill.

I just got my car back from the shop...had CS6 hood and Cal. Special front bumper installed. I had to remove my STB for hood to close and shave down the front corners of the plenum cover because of rubbing. Hood also rubs on intake tube where it attaches to the throttle body. They also had to cut a piece out of the front of the Roush CAI shield. The hood shakes at speeds over 75mph or into a strong headwind ( I am ordering hood pins to address that). The shop charged me 14 hrs of labor on the hood for prep and adjustments (that NOT counting painting it) and I hear I got off easy from some others. The hood still needs a little adjusting so its a work in progress...see picture.

I try...I try to be a moderate man...but MAN I LOVE THAT HOOD![sm=happy046.gif]
Some day...some day. And a HUGE thank you for the link on modifying the hood. I've never seen a closeup of the plastic grill, so I've been thinking of other ways to make the vent functional. This is easier than anything I came up with...
