like guys say,450 rwhp is the max for stock motor bro
That right there is one of the biggest misunderstandings on these forums. People really need to get that mentality out of their heads. At AROUND450rwhp, the tune becomesvery crucial in running more power. Plenty of people have blown motors with only 430rwhp while some are still running 500+rwhp and are completely fine. It is the tune (A/F and timing) that determine the how the motor holds up at that power level. We have both our GTs tuned by Whipple themselves, one having a stock longblock. It puts down 519rwhp on 91 pump gas (12psi). It has had the Whipple on since the car had 300 miles. The car now has over 25000 miles and has been BEAT on. We drift it, we have dragged it, popped the rev limiter several times, etc and it is perfectly fine and the car runs strong as it did from day one. So again, lose the 450rwhp marker mentality. The only thing you should be concerned with at that power level is your tune and Whipples tunes are very safe.

To the OP, with that much power, get a custom tune (as we did from Whipple) to make sure everything is safe (timing and A/F) and youSHOULD have no problems (depending on your tuner). It is a risk you take when running that much power. Keep us posted.

I agree...its defitnetly in the tune ...I have faith in my whipple tune...I have also run my car pretty hard...bounced off the rev limiter at times and still with no issues. Not to say something couldn't happen but so far so good. I will defitnetly keep you guys posted even if it means a hundred " I told you so's...

It's not all in the tune. If you don't have enough injector then the tune doesn't matter. Post the dyno sheet, i want to see the A/F ratio.

I have been driving with setup for over three months now with no issues...I defitnetly will check into the Air Fuel ratio...Could it have been the way it was mesured ?..I believe they used the tail pipe sniffer
My tuner plumbed some a/f meter bungs intothe pipe near theheader collectors the first time I had a dyno tune. You probably have some also. If you don't already you need to have some fitted in there with that setup. I wouldn't think a tailpipe sniffer would be that accurate.

A GT500 type dual fuel pump setup would probably be in order also along with the larger injectors I would think...

As I said before great numbers and the 12.7 A/F is not right IMO but if a tailpipe sniffer was used maybe that is a correct value for the tune? Anyone know?
