So i go to my stripes guy. hes like 18 and i start getting suspicious.
ME:`"mustangs are hard to stripe , you sure you can do this?"
HIM: "yahh no prob man dont sweat it, i got a precut kit for you"

timelapse 2 hours : Stripes are all over the place crooked as hell looks like sh i t

ME: "Im sorry man but this is all wrong , looks like crap"
HIM: " I agree, man im sorry i cant do this, i thought these were way easier"
Soo he says no charge, sorry yadda yadda lemme take the stripes off.
removes em all without incident but 1 dam piece that was on roof took a chunk of paint right off the size of a hockey puck
At this point im fuming mad as hell,Im pissed, Im swearing,
Kid offers me 300.00$ for the damage and says it should cover the repair.
Im like are you freaking kidding me 300.00$ to repaint a roof, "they arent gonna put a stripe on that buddy they have to sand it prep it and repaint it!".
Anyhow thats my experience with stripe install and was my last , this car is not getting stripes.
Im at work still pissed il get a pic up to show the damage when i get home.

And installed then uninstalled sripes?

This is why I chose to do mine myself. I never did anything like that before and it takes patience.

ouch, that's horrible, kinda feel bad for the kid but he's gotta take responsibility. Hope everything works out for ya

d&mn man i'm sorry... how the hell did it take off the paint, it's just a decal... what was he doing ripping them off as fast as he could... still dosen't make any sense removing the paint...

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I want to see the pic. Never saw a stripe removed take paint off. What did he do? Scrape it or something? My condolences.

I still dont see how it managed to remove the paint. What year is ur stang? There is a TSB about the paint being crappy on earlier mustangs because some iron got mixed with the paint which caused some mustangs paint to bubbleup, not adhere correctly and develop rust on the body panels.
