Infinity's all the way....They can withstand pretty much any damn type of music you listen to

Get kicker components. Had them in my old SUV and they took extreme punishment and they sounded good too.

I got the Infinity Kappa 682.7cf's and all I can say is wow. The install was a major pita. I'm glad you suggesed this 157db because it was duly noted.. I need a small amp to push these bad boys now.... New fronts coming soon

ORIGINAL: 157db

Infinity FTW
And yes they come out
from the top and the trim pieces
in the back all have to come out.
Some of the first 05s were bottom mounted.
You can determine what you have by looking
from the bottom of the rear deckin the trunk.
But mount the new ones from the BOTTOM
and thats the last time you will have to
remove trim to change rear deck speakers
.

Just keep in mind a speaker blows because of lack of power or the amp "clipping" so aftermarket speakers won't solve your problem if you continue to push your amps to the point of distortion. as a rule of thumb most amps sign off at just over half volume and by 3/4 volume your into the clipping stage especially with something as demanding on the system as tool. The only way to get morevolume out of the amp is to go with a more sensative speaker. Look for the most efficient one you can find, anything over 90db/watt
should be alright. I haven't shopped Car speakers in years but Infinity was never a real efficient speaker (or a good one for that matter lol..)
