Default What if you dont fix TSB issues?

Just curious. I have the loud whining noise when I turn my steering wheel at low speeds. It’s loud enough that people near my car in a parking lot can hear it. I also have the weird noise coming from the rear end at low speed turns. I can live with the crazy vibrations coming from the dash and sometimes the boot around my stick shift but are you doing more damage or harm to your car by ignoring the other issues on the car? Are TSBs necessary or are they just there to fix known issues that don’t affect the overall safety of the car? Thanks in advance.

I used to own a Solstice with a differential that would do the same thing. Binding or loud noises while turning at low speeds probably means there is something wrong with the clutch packs in your limited slip differential.

It may never get worse, but then again, differential work can get expensive. You should probably take it to the dealer and have them take a look at it.

They may just drain the fluid and refill it a couple of times. That may solve the problem, but don't be surprised if the noise comes back after a few hundred miles. If that's the case, then take it back to the dealer.

TSBs do not have to be fixed, its not like a recall. They are just known issues that the dealer is being made aware of so that when customers come in they can easily get it fixed, warranty or not. Some you can never have fixed.....the parking brake TSB only is going to be a problem if you live in colder climate, in florida, it will never come up. Same with the gas filling issue, its not harmful just annoying
