Anybody Have Spoiler Install Intr/templates

RE: Anybody Have Spoiler Install Intr/templates
I just measured very carefully and drilled the holes.
The front two holes are closer together than the rear two holes.

Go to the dealership.
Take some reference pics. The spoiler is curved to match
the trunk lid lines. Just set thesame distances as referenced
from the dealership, or better yet, go to the dealership, park
next to a GT with the GT spoiler OEM installed, get out of
your Stang with a cordless drill {likey to see the look on the
salemens faces for that one} and use the OEM for reference.
Carefully with two people, place the spoiler on the blue tape
and align it visually. Be careful as the spoiler is back heavy when
sitting on the studs and will want to fall off if let go of.
Mark around the spoiler studs on the spoiler where the holes go.
Use some painters tape as shown in the photo. Then
measure where the marks are and make sure everyting is
asymetrical. The spoiler can be slightly misplaced front to
back from OEMbut if its not asymetrical to the body, it will be noticable. [:@]
You will also need the OEM 3M VHB acrylic tape pads that go
underneith. No dirt attracting messy silicone used here.
Dont overtighten the nuts on the studs or you will deform the trunk lid.
